Beth Houghton

Beth Houghton leads the Impact team at Palatine and has been responsible for successfully investing Impact Fund I. Beth joined Palatine in 2007 having completed her MBA with distinction at Manchester Business School. In 2016, Beth was awarded the BVCA’s “Outstanding Individual Contribution” award, in recognition of her contribution to responsible investment within the industry. Beth was also recognised by Real Deals in 2020 as a leader in Diversity and Inclusion within the private equity industry. Beth sits on the Responsible Investment Committee for the BVCA and often contributes to industry panels and webinars regarding ESG, Impact and Diversity.

John Gilligan

John Gilligan has worked in the private equity and venture capital industry for over 30 years. He started his career in 1988 at 3i Group plc. He was a Corporate Finance Partner of Deloitte and latterly BDO for twenty years. He is the Director of the Oxford Saïd Finance Lab at Saïd Business School, and Joint Managing Director of Big Issue Invest Debt Funds, one of the largest social impact investors in the UK. He is the co-author of four editions of "Private Equity Demystified" (OUP. 2020) with the late Prof Mike Wright. John is also a Visiting Professor at Imperial College Business school

Scott Moeller

Scott is Professor in the Practice of Finance at Bayes Business School, City, University of London where he is the director and founder of the M&A Research Centre. His most recent book, for The Economist business book series, is entitled Why Deals Fail & How to Rescue Them: M&A Lessons for Deal Success. Prior to teaching, Scott spent six years at Deutsche Bank in London in several senior management positions including head of the bank’s private equity group. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Scott worked first at Booz Allen & Hamilton management consultants for over 5 years and then at Morgan Stanley for over 12 years.

Monika Nachyła

Monika joined Abris in 2017 as a partner responsible for Investor Relations, communication, and ESG. She brings 25 years of international C-suite experience in finance, private equity, banking, investor relations, management, strategy, and development. At Abris, Monika is a member of the Abris Partners’ Board, Investment Committee, and she is chairing the Corporate Governance Committee. She contributed materially to developing and implementing of Abris ESG strategy, which is focusing on managing portfolio risks and creating shareholder’s value. Before joining Abris, Monika was active as a non-executive director, serving on multiple supervisory boards of large companies and publicly listed corporations. Previous private equity experience includes Innova Capital, where she supervised both Portfolio Management & Fund Operations and Enterprise Investors, where she was in charge of Investor Relations. Earlier, she held the position of CFO at the pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Synthélabo and was a senior auditor at both Salustro Reydel (France) and Arthur Andersen (Poland). Monika holds a Master’s degree from the Warsaw School of Economics and post-graduate diplomas in Social Psychology and Agriculture. She has previously chaired the Corporate Governance Committee and is currently a member of the Management Board at the Polish Association of Private Equity. Monika is fluent in English, Polish, French and Russian.

Anne-Claire de Pompignan

Anne-Claire de Pompignan is Head of Investor Relations. She has over fifteen years of private equity and private debt experience, focusing on Capital Markets and investing private debt in pan-European mid-market buy-outs. Anne-Claire is a native French speaker and holds a post graduate degree from University Paris-IX Dauphine.

Carl Nauckhoff

Carl Nauckhoff joined Investindustrial in 2009, and he is the Head of Investor Relations. He previously worked with the firm during the raising of Investindustrial III in 2005. From 2007, he was a partner and managing director at Garrison Investment Group, a $2.5 billion special opportunity investment firm in New York. Prior to working at Garrison, Mr. Nauckhoff was a director and partner with MVision Private Equity Advisers, an international private placement agent in London and New York. He began his career in the merger and acquisitions group of Lehman Brothers in London.

David Ewing

I joined ECI in 2001 after an early career in software development, and since then have largely focussed my time at ECI on software and digital media businesses. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some really great and ambitious management teams including our current portfolio companies: Avantia, CIPHR, ATG, Peoplesafe, Bionic and MiQ. Back in 2004, I led the first ever UK buyout of a native digital business, Laterooms.com, and in 2011 I led the first ever UK buyout of a native SaaS business, Fourth. I joined our Investment Committee in 2012 and in addition to chairing the Partnership board, my key management responsibilities include deal origination & marketing and HR. Screen reader support enabled.

Wol Kolade

Wol joined Livingbridge in 1993 and has led the business since 1998. He was previously a Chairman of the BVCA and the Chairman of the Guys and St Thomas' Foundation. In 2018 he was appointed as an NED of NHS England & Improvement and more recently as Trustee of Somerset House. Wol is a co-founder of the 10,000 Black Interns Initiative. He received an honorary doctorate from the University of Exeter in 2014 and a CBE for services to Financial Services in the Queen’s 2021 Birthday Honours. Wol became the 25thinductee into the “Private Equity Hall of Fame” in September 2021

Marc Ciancimino

Marc co-founded All Seas Capital and sits on the Investment Committee. He also focuses on origination, capital raising and management of the firm. Prior to starting All Seas, Marc was a partner (“Member”) of KKR & Co where he spent a decade and started the European dimension of the firm’s private credit activities with a special emphasis on hybrid transactions. He sat on the Global Private Credit Committee and was a Portfolio Management Committee member. He started his career in 1995 at Citibank and also worked at Bankers Trust before moving to the buyside in 1999. He has invested over $1.9Bn since he started his career.

Michele Giddens

Michele co-founded Bridges alongside Philip Newborough and Sir Ronald Cohen in 2002. In addition to co-running Bridges, which is a specialist sustainable and impact fund management company, Michele has played a leading role in the growth of the sustainable and impact investing sectors in the UK and worldwide, including chairing the UK National Advisory Board on Impact Investing (part of the Global Social Impact Investment Steering Group) from 2016-18 and a Global Working Group on Policy. She is currently a Non-Executive Director on the board of CDC, the UK Government’s Development Finance Institution. Michele is also a trustee for the Bridges Impact Foundation and chairs the Board of Bridges Insights.

Steve Aston

Steve is responsible for delivering incremental value from both new and portfolio investments across LDC’s offices. He is a member of LDC’s Leadership Team, Investment Committee and Valuations Committee, and has significant experience in the industrials and engineering sectors. With more than 25 years’ private equity experience, Steve is one of LDC’s most experienced investors. He joined the firm in 2007 and has played a leading role in many of LDC’s most successful partnerships, including Texthelp, The NEC Group, AIM Aviation, Benson Box and MB Aerospace.

Joana Rocha Scaff

Joana Rocha Scaff is a Managing Director of Neuberger Berman, Head of Europe Private Equity and a member of the Investment Committee for primaries, co-investments and secondaries. She is also a member of the firm's ESG Advisory Committee. She has been with the firm since 2005 and has over 20 years of experience in financial markets. Prior to Neuberger Berman, Ms. Rocha Scaff worked in investment banking at Lehman Brothers, Citigroup and E.S. Investment Bank. She received her MBA from Columbia Business School and her BA in Business Management and Administration from Universidade Catolica of Lisbon. Ms. Rocha Scaff is the current Chair of the LP Committee of the BVCA (British Private Equity Association) and an LPAC member of several European private equity funds.

Sarah Farrell

Sarah is the Head of Private Equity for Europe and Asia at Allstate Investments, covering primary fund commitments and co-investments alongside growth equity and buyout managers. Prior to joining Allstate Investments, Sarah was running the international private equity platform of a large American family office based out of Switzerland. Sarah is originally from a direct investing and investment banking background and has worked in private equity for more than 20 years. She is a Chartered Accountant.

Carolina Espinal

Carolina Espinal joined HarbourVest in 2004 to focus on partnership investments in Europe and other emerging markets and became a Managing Director in 2015. Carolina focuses on managing European venture capital and buyout partnership investments and has collaborated with the secondary and co-investment groups on several investment opportunities. She currently serves on the advisory boards of funds managed by Abénex Capital, ECI, Inflexion, and Advent International. Her previous experience includes two years as a financial analyst with the Merrill Lynch Energy and Power mergers and acquisitions team in Houston. Carolina graduated from Rice University with a BA in Managerial Studies, Policy Studies, and Economics in 2000. She received an MSc in Finance from the London Business School in 2003. Carolina speaks fluent Spanish and French.

Mitesh Pabari

Mitesh is a Principal on Hamilton Lane’s Fund Investment Team, based in the firm’s London office, where he is responsible for all aspects of fund due diligence. Prior to joining Hamilton Lane in 2010, Mitesh was an Associate in the investment team of Coller Capital, a global investor in the private equity secondaries market. Previously, he was an Equity Research Analyst at JP Morgan Cazenove focused on the UK small-mid cap sector, and an Associate in the Valuation Services team of KPMG Corporate Finance in London. Mitesh received a B.S. in International Management with American Business Studies from the University of Manchester, England.
