There are no costs associated with submitting for the Real Deals Private Equity Awards
All awards will be judged on work conducted since 1 October 2023. In the case of Deal of the Year categories, this means exits completed since 1 October 2023.
The awards focus on European private equity activity.
House of the Year and specialist categories are open to firms headquartered in, or with significant operations in, Europe.
Deal of the Year categories all specify a country (or group of countries) in which the portfolio company must be headquartered.
Advisory categories are open to firms headquartered anywhere in the world, but entries must focus on work conducted for European private equity clients.
Try to keep your entry forms as succinct as possible. Avoid marketing speak and try to include as many facts, figures and examples as possible to substantiate the claims made in your entry
Unlike in previous years, the deadline for all categories is the same: 6 December 2024 and 23:59 GMT.
Short extensions can be agreed in advance on a case by case basis: please email pea@realdealsmedia.com to discuss this.
The shortlists are decided by the Real Deals editorial team before being presented to the panel of judges for final deliberation.
Advisory categories and Deals of the Year will be judged by our panel of GPs.
House of the Year and Specialist Awards will be judged by our panel of LPs.
The Private Equity Hall of Fame recipient is nominated by the Real Deals editorial team and is not subject to the same entry or judging process as other categories.
Finalists are judged by various judging panels, who base their decisions on several factors, including exit multiples (for exits), growth (by revenue, headcount and geographical expansion), as well as a firm’s ability to respond to challenges.
Our shortlist announcement will take place in January 2025. Award entrants will be told whether or not they have been shortlisted approximately 24 hours before the formal announcement, however we kindly ask that finalists do not publicise the news until the Real Deals announcement has been made.
